This is my 6th year at Waverly High School! I have absolutely loved working with WHS students the past five years! During my first 20 years in education, I spent 13 years at Lincoln Southwest High School and 7 years at Mickle Middle School in Lincoln. Beyond the walls of my classroom, I serve as a college statistics and college algebra instructor at Nebraska Wesleyan, a college statistics instructor at Bryan College of Health Sciences, (and sometimes a math methods instructor at Union College, a graduate school instructor at UNL, and a reviewer for the National Science Foundation). This fall I will be teaching both college stats and college algebra for NWU and college stats for Bryan.

From my Gallup Strengths Finder activity, my top 3 strengths include Deliberative, Maximizer, and Strategic. Thus, these come natural to me. On the flip side some of my weaker areas are Empathy, Individualization, and Relator. I intentionally focus on these weaknesses so that I’m a more balanced educator for the students of District 145.

As I combine my strengths with my attention to my weaknesses, I am better able to serve. Here at WHS, I like to be involved with The Crew and get to as many athletic and extra-curricular activities as I can! I am also the Quiz Bowl Coach and co-sponsor for Student Council.
